What can I give?

I heard a recent sermon, “What time is it?” Perhaps you heard it too! A common statement these days is, “It’s getting close to Christmas time!” To follow is the comment, “Have you finished your shopping?” Both of those set me in a panic then I’m haunted by my Pastor’s voice saying, “What time is it?” The answer to the question …..The time is N-O-W. The moment is all I have.  But ….in this moment I have been thinking about my gift list.  Allow me once again to refer to a song, “What can I give to the King? Give to the One who has everything? What can I give? What gift can I bring? What can I give to the King? What can I Give to the King?” Our family is trying to make a conscious effort to use wisdom in our gift giving to each other. We are all so very blessed so the gifts we give are above and beyond need. Our gifts to the King, where are they on our list. I hope they are not lessened or removed. I trust we will all honor Him with our giving. Oh, by the way, our giving is more than our monies. There are many ways we give to Him that don’t cost us a thing. Well, yes, there is a price, we give of ourselves but look what He gave for us! What time is it? It’s Christmas time in the city ……… Joy to the world! The Lord has come; Let earth receive her King. Let every heart prepare Him room, and as we do, go, tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born! I pray your Christmas will be blessed in every way.
